She has consistently denied directing any illegal acts, stating subordinates acted without her knowledge or approval. The Family Federation is appealing.

  • Arrested September 23, 2025, she has endured approximately 369 days of detention, hospital suspensions, heart surgery, glaucoma treatment risking blindness, multiple falls, shoulder fracture and surgery. She remains under medical suspension of detention (currently extended to September 30, 2026) due to frail health at age 83. Pretrial days in custody may later be credited; hospital suspension days generally are not, and the sentence is not yet final.
  • Experts worldwide, including Rev.
