Interfaith leaders, building on February’s global petitions, joined the call. The 2026 International Religious Freedom Summit in Washington spotlighted rising religious pressure across Asia. Her 1990 meeting with Gorbachev and 1991 dialogue with Kim Il-sung opened paths to reconciliation and denuclearization. She created the Women’s Federation for World Peace (now in 157 nations) and the Universal Peace Federation (active in 200+ countries). Every Korean president, across every party, drew wisdom from her unity message—including President Lee Jae-myung’s 2025 victory, built on the ethical foundation she strengthened. The government she helped rise now jails her without final judgment. The paradox is painful.
